more plein air and awards

 This past weekend I went to New Jersey to paint in the Cohansey River Plein Air event. 

I painted two 9x12 watercolors on panels, the first one at Hancock Harbor.

and for my second painting I went to the Greenwich Marina to paint the view of the river. Both paintings are on display during the month of September at Gallery 50 in Bridgeton, New Jersey.

In other news, my painting "The Teacher" was juried into the Arizona Watercolor Society Exhibit and shipped off this morning. And my painting "the Seagull" juried into the National Watercolor Society / Scottish Royal Painters in Watercolor International Exchange online exhibit.

I'm thrilled to announce that my painting "Point Guard" won a Merit Award in the Kentucky Watercolor Society international juried exhibit.

Solo Show!

 My solo exhibition is now up in the Hollingsworth Gallery at the Patuxent National Wildlife Refuge Research Center in Laurel, Maryland! Be sure to stop in and check it out, there are thirty new watercolor paintings in this exhibit. 

I also discovered the load capacity for packing framed watercolor paintings in the back of my car! haha! I could have fit a few more in there, I think. 

And, speaking of wildlife... Our resident fox had a litter of three kits this summer. Here's one of them hanging out under the maple tree.
