Art Ambassador Program!
Yipee! Guess who's been invited by Canson | Royal Talens' to represent their brand as an official Art Ambassador! I'm so honored to have been added to this small, elite team of Super Artists. I'm excited to be using their brands of artist materials, and even more excited at the prospect of demonstrating their wonderful products for artist organizations, art supply stores, and art schools! I can hardly wait for them to start sending me their products, so I can start sharing them with all my students and artist friends!

Canson / Royal Talens Art Ambassador

Dear Art Ambassador,
Congratulations and welcome. You’re hard work and talents have earned you an elite status with Canson and Royal Talens through our Art Ambassador program. We’d like to take some time to explain what that means and also a little bit more about our company.
Canson – Annonay, France
For over 450 years, Canson has been part of the lives of Artists such as yourself. Likewise, Artists such as Delacroix, van Gogh, Degas, Matisse, Mialol, Warhol and Picasso have been entrusting our papers for their works and many artists have had a direct relationship with our company in the development and innovation of our products. One of our ranges, Montval, was created at the request of Miallol. There is a long and storied history of the relationship of artists and their materials, and Canson is at the center of it.
Arches – Arches, France
The Arches paper mill was founded in Lorraine, France in 1492. Through the years, the history of Arches has been closely linked to the history of France: many literary mil-stones and works of art have been entrusted to Arches papers. The mill produces Arches watercolor and Arches printmaking papers as well as BFK Rives.
Royal Talens – Apeldoorn, the Netherlands
Incorporated in 1899, Royal Talens was born into the hub of the world’s spice and pigment trade. It makes sense that some of the world’s finest colors are crafted here.
You may recognize some of their products by name, such as Rembrandt oil colors and pastels, Amsterdam Acrylic and Cobra water mixable oil colors. The products are developed here, not by a room full of marketers and designers, but in studios where a whole team of working artists collaborate to help craft the ideas that innovate the world’s finest colors.
In a world where brands are everywhere, not many companies are left that can claim these unique histories, or that still have working mills with craftsmen who train for up to 30 years to become a master of their trade. We’re proud of that and would not be here without the relationship with artists such as you.
So, welcome to a family of artists. We’re sending you our catalog and some literature about our products. Choose up to $1000 of product; it doesn’t have to be all at once. We’ll send the products out and also based on your techniques and choices, we’ll include some additional products that we think you’ll like. All we ask is that you let us know what you think; reach out to us as other artists throughout history have. Share some of the products with your friends if you like; they are often some of our best sources of inspiration as artists. Tell others about your experiences with our products, and help us share the story."
