Painting en Plein Air

I had a fabulous time painting in the Plein Air Brandywine Valley, and finished four oil paintings and three watercolors during the week long event. Each day, the artists had a choice of 3 or 4 locations to paint, and all of them were inspiring. About 75 artists participated in this prestigious juried competition, and at the end of the week the paintings were all exhibited at the Tatnall School in Wilmington. Over $9,000 in awrds were distributed, and the art sales totalled over $15,000.

12x16 Watercolor of the Brandywine River
The first day was at the Brandywine River Museum in Chadds Ford. I managed to quickly paint this 12x16 watercolor of the river before the rain forced me to end the day early.
