Beautiful weekend weather

We finally had beautiful weather! It was warm and sunny all weekend, and I spent the week puttering around in the garden more than the studio.

My peonies are just starting to bloom! I have 6 plants, and 3 are going to bloom this year. I may have planted the other three too deep, so I'm going to to remove about an inch soil from around the plants to see if that improves them for next year. 

It's great weather to paint outdoors and I'm itching to set up my easel out in the garden. I miss being able to paint with friends, but at least we can still gather via live-stream.
